Safeguarding Children Level 2
As a professional working with children, it is essential that you have a solid understanding of child protection and safeguarding measures. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and respond to concerns about the welfare of children.
Throughout this course, you will learn about the key principles of safeguarding, including the legal and regulatory framework that underpins child protection measures. You will also learn about the signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect, as well as the different types of abuse that children can experience.
In addition, this course will cover the role of professionals in safeguarding children, including how to work collaboratively with other agencies and report concerns appropriately. You will also learn about the importance of record-keeping and maintaining confidentiality.
Aim: To raise awareness of an adult's role when working with children and young people and to ensure they understand how to protect the safety of young people as well as to be aware of sensitive situations in which they may find themselves.
Certification: Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate valid for 3 years.
