Our suite of Early Years courses is designed to train staff in schools, nurseries and other settings to provide excellent care for young children.

With over 100 qualified trainers throughout the UK, First Response Training provides training to Early Years staff, parents and carers in England, Scotland and Wales. Our trainers are all experienced in their subject areas, and regularly assessed to ensure the highest quality training. We specialise in First Aid and Health and Safety training. The courses below are specifically designed for the sole purpose of training Early Years providers. We have a portfolio of over 200 courses available, many of which are relevant to Early Years, including Fire Safety and Mental Health. After you have selected your courses, your account manager will be in touch. They will discuss your requirements and arrange any trainers, equipment and venues required.

Course Mapping

First Response Training is an accredited training provider via Advantage Accreditation, which ensure our courses and trainers meet high-quality standards. Our team of curriculum experts have developed our Early Years courses in-line with relevant guidance and legislation, including the Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework, the Ofsted Education inspection framework (EIF), the Childcare Act 2006, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Every Child Matters. The team regularly revisit course materials to ensure content is up-to-date according to these national standards. We work hard to ensure our training is excellent so that the care our young children receive is excellent too. Learners are often assessed at the end of their courses and their assessment results determine whether or not they will receive their certificate. Some of our courses also feature practical assessments.
