First Response Training has over 25 years of experience in training staff to perform safely and effectively in the workplace. Our courses range from GDPR to Equality and Diversity to Environmental Management. We also offer more specialised training in First Aid, Fire Safety, Health and safety, Food Safety, Business Skills, Hospitality, Mental Health, Microsoft Office and Project Management software. No matter your industry, we have something for you.
Over 100 FRT trainers are located across the UK. This enable us to provide in-person training at a huge range of locations. If you prefer, one of our trainers will travel to your workplace to deliver in-person training. We will send the right trainer based on their relevant qualifications and professional experience. Once you have booked your training, your own account manager will be in touch to take care of the arrangements.
Delivery Methods
Our workplace courses can take place as in-person, classroom training. However, we also offer webinar training and eLearning. These are excellent options for educating your staff at a lower price, without the need to travel to a specified location. Our webinars are led by one of our trainers via videocall. eLearning is equipped with voiceovers and interactive activities and available for learners to complete in their own time. Our General Workplace Annual Learner Pass includes 15 eLearning courses for £30 per learner (£2 per course).

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Aim: To provide learners with a general understanding and awareness of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU)
Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety
Aim: To provide delegates with the knowledge to deal with conflict in the workplace and manage their own personal safety including the use of breakaway techniques.
Legionella
Aim: To provide delegates with an overview and awareness of the issues surrounding Legionella control, current legislation and good practice procedures.
Asbestos Awareness
This course provides delegates with background knowledge on the hazards related to asbestos and how the law has addressed those risks.
Confined Spaces
Aim: To provide delegates with the information and training required by law to prepare them for working in confined spaces.
Working at Height
Aim: To advise delegates about the principles of safe working at height and the importance of conducting a risk assessment prior to any working at height activity.
Equality and Diversity
Aim: To introduce the concepts of equality and diversity to the workplace, so that both equality and diversity can be promoted and discrimination and bullying reduced.
Personal Protection Equipment
Aim: To provide delegates with the knowledge and expertise to enable the correct selection and use of PPE in the work place.
Sharps/Needle Awareness
Aim: To raise awareness of the risks involved with injuries caused by sharps / needles.
Environmental Awareness
Aim: To provide delegates with an awareness of environmental issues and their individual responsibilities for environmental management.
Environmental Management
Aim: To provide an awareness of environmental management and to know the steps required to implement an effective environmental management system.
Managing Personal Stress
Aim: To raise delegates’ awareness of stress, and to introduce them to techniques used to manage your stress.
Managing Stress in the Workplace
Aim: To raise awareness of pressure and to introduce techniques that can be used to manage the risk of stress among workers.
