Health and Safety for Child Carers Level 2
This course is designed for anyone who works with children and wants to ensure that they are providing a safe and healthy environment. During this course, you will learn about the risks and hazards that children may face in different environments and how to assess and manage these risks. You will also learn about the legal requirements for health and safety in childcare settings, including policies and procedures that must be in place to protect children and staff.
We will cover the importance of regular risk assessments. You will also learn how to create a safe and healthy environment for children, including effective communication with parents and other staff members.
Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate valid for 3 years. The 3-hour course costs £330 for up to 12 learners. Prices may vary according to your unique requirements.
Learning Objectives

Aim: To raise awareness of an adult's role when working with children and young people and to ensure they understand how to protect the safety of young people as well as to be aware of sensitive situations in which they may find themselves.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Early Years
Aim: To provide delegates with an awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Basic Paediatric First Aid
This course aims to introduce basic first aid to learners who have children and babies in their care and to enable them to recognise and respond to a paediatric emergency.
Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Aim: To ensure that learners are trained in adult and paediatric first aid techniques, enabling them to recognise and treat those who are ill or injured.
Paediatric First Aid
Aim: To introduce first aid to learners who have children and babies in their care and to enable them to recognise and respond to a paediatric emergency.
Health and Safety for Child Carers
Aim: To identify the health and safety issues relating to those working in the child care environment.
Manual Handling for Child Carers
Aim: To recognise the principles of safe manual handling of children and the importance of risk assessment prior to any manual handling task.
