Sharps/Needle Awareness Level 2

The Sharps/Needle Awareness Level 2 course is designed to raise awareness of the risks involved with injuries caused by sharps/needles. The course aims to provide delegates with an understanding of the potential health risks associated with needlestick injuries and to promote safe working practices to reduce the risk of such injuries occurring.

The course covers a range of topics, including the potential health risks associated with needlestick injuries, the legal requirements around sharps/needle safety, and the best practices for handling, disposing of, and reporting incidents involving sharps/needles. Delegates will also learn about the importance of risk assessments and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling sharps/needles.

The course is designed to be delivered over a period of three hours, with plenty of opportunities for questions and discussions throughout. Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate that is valid for three years, demonstrating their understanding and knowledge of sharps/needle safety. The certificate can be used to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations and to demonstrate a commitment to promoting safe working practices in the workplace.
