Moving, Assisting & Hoisting Level 2

The Moving, Assisting & Hoisting Level 2 webinar is designed to educate healthcare support workers and adult social care workers on the principles of safe and proper techniques for moving and assisting people. The aim of the webinar is to ensure participants understand the importance of risk assessment before undertaking any moving and assisting tasks, as well as the safe use of hoists.

The Moving, Assisting & Hoisting Level 2 webinar typically spans a full day, lasting approximately 6 hours. It will include presentations, interactive discussions, and case studies to facilitate active learning and enhance participants' understanding of the subject matter.

Upon successful completion of the webinar, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Learning Objectives

  • Having an understanding of legislation relating to moving and assisting
  • Understand basic anatomy and physiology of the spine
  • Assess moving and assisting operations, reducing the risk where reasonably practicable
