Moving and Assisting Level 2
The webinar on Moving and Assisting Level 2 is designed to educate healthcare support workers and adult social care workers on the principles of safely moving and assisting people. The aim of this webinar is to ensure that participants understand the importance of risk assessment before engaging in any moving and assisting tasks.
The duration of this webinar is approximately 1.5 hours, during which participants will be introduced to essential concepts related to moving and assisting individuals.
Upon successful completion of the webinar, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for three years.
Learning Objectives
- Having an understanding of legislation relating to moving and assisting
- Understand basic anatomy and physiology of the spine
- Assess moving and assisting operations, reducing the risk where reasonably practicable
- Understand the principles of safer moving and assisting of people, including the use of equipment
- Understand the importance of maintaining dignity for the person receiving assistance
