Moving and Assisting Awareness Level 1
A webinar on Moving and Assisting People in Care is designed to provide healthcare support workers and adult social care workers with the knowledge and skills required to move and assist people in care safely and with dignity. The aim of the webinar is to ensure that participants can provide safe and effective support to individuals, while also promoting their dignity and respect.
The webinar will cover various topics, such as the legal and ethical considerations related to moving and assisting people in care, the importance of risk assessments, and the different types of equipment and aids that can be used to support safe movement. Participants will learn about the principles of safe moving and handling, including the importance of good posture, balance, and stability.
Upon completion of the 1.5-hour webinar, successful candidates will be issued with a certificate that is valid for three years, which will demonstrate their understanding of safe moving and handling and their commitment to providing high-quality care that is centred on the individual's dignity and respect.
