Duty of Care Level 1

The Duty of Care Level 1 course is designed to help healthcare support workers and adult social care workers understand their duty of care and how to fulfil it, with consideration for legislation, workplace policies, and possible conflicts.

The course aims to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of their responsibilities as care workers, and the legal and ethical frameworks that underpin their role. It may cover topics such as duty of care, safeguarding, confidentiality, consent, and professional boundaries.

Successful completion of the course will result in the issuance of a certificate that is valid for three years. This certificate may be used to demonstrate that the learner has achieved a certain level of competence and knowledge in their role as a healthcare support worker or adult social care worker.

The course is designed to be completed in a relatively short period of time, with a duration of 1.5 hours.
