Infection Control and Prevention Awareness Level 1
The Infection Control and Prevention Awareness Level 1 course is designed to introduce healthcare support workers and adult social care workers to the principles of infection control and prevention. In this course, participants will learn about the different types of infections and how they can be spread, as well as the importance of effective infection control measures in preventing the spread of infections in healthcare settings.
The 1.5-hour course covers a range of topics related to infection control and prevention, including the principles of hand hygiene, the use of personal protective equipment, and the safe management of sharps and waste. Participants will also learn about the importance of effective cleaning and disinfection in preventing the spread of infections, including the different types of cleaning agents and their appropriate use.
The course is delivered interactively and engagingly, with a range of activities and case studies designed to help participants apply their learning to real-life scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a certificate that is valid for three years, demonstrating their understanding of the principles of infection control and prevention in healthcare settings.
