Continence Care Level 2
The Continence Care Level 2 webinar is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in promoting continence and providing person-centred care for individuals with continence issues. The aim of this webinar is to empower delegates with the necessary understanding and competencies to identify and address incontinence problems at an early stage while prioritizing the individual's needs and preferences.
During the 3-hour duration of the webinar, participants will engage in interactive learning activities and receive comprehensive instruction on various aspects of continence care. The webinar may be facilitated by an experienced trainer who will utilize a range of instructional methods to enhance participant engagement and understanding. These methods may include presentations, case studies, and group discussions.
Upon successful completion of the webinar, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for three years. This certificate serves as evidence of their achievement and demonstrates their competence in providing effective continence care. It signifies that participants have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to support individuals with continence issues and deliver person-centred care.
Special Focus Courses
Aim: To provide an underpinning knowledge to staff in the health and social care sector about Acquired Brain Injury - ABI.
This course ensures that care planning by healthcare support workers and adult social care workers places the best interests of individuals at the centre of care, whilst enabling them to make and communicate their own decisions.
Aim: To enable delegates to develop their knowledge and skills in relation to promoting continence, including early identification and care of incontinence issues, and person centred care for people with continence problems.
This 1-hour course teaches staff to understand the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach to risk assessments and management of dysphagia.
Aim: To provide delegates with an understanding of HIV and an awareness of its prevalence in today's society as well as its progression, attitudes towards HIV and its impact on the individual.
This eLearning course provides learners with an understanding of Learning Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder and the support they can offer those with Learning Disabilities or Autism.
Aim: To provide healthcare support workers and adult social care workers with the knowledge required to provide their service user with personal care in a dignified and empowering way.
Aim: To provide an overview of the subject, enabling an understanding of behaviours and its origin in order to develop ways to respond positively to the behaviour.
Aim: To provide healthcare support workers and adult social care workers with information on the cause, prevention and care of pressure sores.
Aim: To raise awareness of the signs and impact of strokes and how to respond effectively to someone experiencing a stroke.
Aim: To give learners an awareness of issues surrounding drug and alcohol abuse.
