Asbestos Awareness Level 2
This webinar is designed to educate learners on the hazards associated with asbestos and how the law has addressed these risks. The training is delivered by a qualified trainer remotely. The training is expected to last for 3 hours, after which participants will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
During the training, participants will learn about the dangers of asbestos exposure, the different types of asbestos, and how it was used in the past. They will also learn about the health risks associated with asbestos exposure, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis. The course will also cover the legal responsibilities of employers and employees under current regulations, such as the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
The course is mapped to National Occupational Standards PPLCC02 and COSVR756, which are relevant to the control and management of asbestos in the workplace, as well as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) NG12, which provides guidelines on how to identify and manage asbestos-related diseases.
