First Response Training extends helping hand to Community Action Ledbury

A vital local charity is set to receive complimentary first aid training from a leading national training provider.

Community Action Ledbury is a local charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals in the local area, including elderly and disabled people. Their minibuses are used to transport elderly people, wheelchair-bound people and school children, among others. In Spring 2024, Community Action Ledbury will receive a complimentary First Aid training course from the esteemed provider First Response Training and Consultancy Services Limited.

A leading national training provider, First Response Training aligns with the ethos of Community Action Ledbury. Their comprehensive range of courses includes Health and Social Care training to educate caregivers of elderly and disabled individuals.

The company also has a local connection. The Seven Stars, a  pub, restaurant and inn on The Homend in Ledbury, and First Response Training share a common association with Spirit Ventures, a Midlands-based group of companies. The Seven Stars has already demonstrated its commitment to supporting Community Action Ledbury through fundraising quiz nights.

Community Action Ledbury is a commendable charity, facilitating over two thousand medical appointments and running dozens of minibus outings for the elderly each year. The charity is supported by over 50 volunteer drivers, many of whom are retired.

In order to continue their positive local impact, Community Action Ledbury staff and volunteers must complete vital First Aid training. This not only ensures the safety of those receiving support but also safeguards the well-being of the staff and volunteers themselves. First Response Training is generously donating a free First Aid training course for Community Action Ledbury’s minibus drivers.
