About this job

The job is to help teach people who work in health and social care about learning disabilities and autism.

The training is called The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.

We pay our co-trainers £20 for each hour of training delivery.

We pay for travel expenses, such as bus and train tickets. We do not pay you for your time while you are travelling.

We are looking for co-trainers in these areas:

  • Central London
  • North West London
  • South East London
  • South London
  • West London
  • Hereford
  • Leicester
  • Nottingham
  • Shropshire
  • Worcester

Remote, online work is also available.

What you will be in charge of doing

Work with other trainers to give training.

You will always work with at least 1 other trainer.

The training you give will be online or in person.

Talk about what your life is like being autistic or having a learning disability.

Answer questions about your experiences in your life.

Get to training on time.

How we will help you

We will teach you how to do the job. Your training is funded, which means you don't need to pay to do a course that will help you do the job. We do not pay you for your time while we are training you.

We can change the job to help you do it. This is called making reasonable adjustments.

You must:

Have a learning disability.

AND / OR

Be an autistic person.

You must be able to:

Talk in front of people.

Listen to people well and understand what they are saying to you.

Be ready and organised for the work you do.

Use computers to do your work, like using Microsoft Teams or Zoom and sending emails.

Travel to different places to do the training.
