Level 2 Award in Self Harm Awareness

The Self-Harm Awareness Level 2 webinar is a three-hour training program that aims to provide participants with basic knowledge of self-harm, its causes, how to recognize signs of self-harm, and how to support individuals who self-harm. The primary goal of the webinar is to raise awareness of self-harm, reduce stigma, and empower individuals to support those who self-harm.

During the webinar, participants will learn about the different types of self-harm, their causes, and the impact they can have on individuals. The webinar will also cover how to recognize signs of self-harm and best practices for responding to individuals who self-harm, including communication skills, safety planning, and referral options. Participants will also learn about self-care and coping strategies for individuals who support those who self-harm.

The Self-Harm Awareness Level 2 webinar is suitable for healthcare professionals, teachers, social workers, and support workers.

Upon completion of the webinar, successful candidates will be issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. This certificate demonstrates their understanding of self-harm and their ability to support individuals who self-harm in their daily lives.
