Level 1 Award in Safeguarding Adults

The Safeguarding Adults Level 1 course is designed to provide healthcare support workers and adult social care workers with an awareness of safeguarding issues and how to effectively safeguard adults who may be at risk of harm.

The course aims to help learners understand what constitutes abuse and neglect, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of abuse, and what action to take in case of suspected abuse or harm. It may cover topics such as types of abuse, vulnerable adults, safeguarding policies and procedures, and the importance of reporting and recording.

Successful completion of the course will result in the issuance of a certificate that is valid for three years. This certificate may be used to demonstrate that the learner has achieved a certain level of competence and knowledge in their role as a healthcare support worker or adult social care worker.

The course is designed to be completed in a relatively short period of time, with a duration of 1.5 hours.
