New course: Moving, Handling and Hoisting of People - Train the Trainer

A pioneering new course has been launched by Hodgins Smith Consulting that will enable care providers to deliver moving, handling and hoisting of people training to their own staff.

The course has been skilfully developed by Mike Mulcahy who said, “This course provides delegates with the grasp of how to deliver training, essentially preparing the candidate with the knowledge and practice to deliver induction moving, handling and hoisting of people training techniques to colleagues.”

Modules within the course include the role of the trainer, the learning process, teaching methods and training environments.

Delegates will gain an understanding of legislation relating to manual handling, moving and handling as well as acquiring knowledge such as the basic anatomy & physiology of the spine.

At the end of each module the student is assessed by a mixture of written and practical exercises.
