This 3 day course is for those interested in becoming an in-house Moving and Handling Trainer taking place at Glasgow Tuesday 3rd, Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th November 2009
Delegates will gain an understanding of:-
- Legislation that effects them in their place of work
- Anatomy of the spine, causes of injury and risk reduction methods
- Appreciation of the difference between inefficient and efficient movement patterns
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of risk assessment in relation to people handling
- Understanding of condemned lifts
Delegates will participate in practical sessions using equipment available and at the end of the 3-days should have the skills and knowledge and competence to enable then to deliver in-house moving and handling courses.
