Redundancies Threaten Health and Safe...
As one of the UK's leading health and safety training providers, First Response is concerned that workplace safety personnel, such as first aiders and fire marshals, could fall victim to job cuts.
Speaking on behalf of First Response, Commercial Manager Ben Ashby said "Without properly trained personnel, organisations will not be able to meet legal obligations. Health and safety representatives, first aiders and fire marshals who have been trained specifically for the workplace, could face being made redundant."
"As well as the risk to life, companies will not meet legal or insurance requirements." and stressed, "If organisations are forced to reduce staff, they need to ensure health and safety procedures remain in place."
