First Response – bringing training ...
As an established and expanding provider of health and safety services, First Response are promoting the message that health and safety is more than just legal compliance and that a properly trained workforce can add to productivity and reduce illness and downtime.
First Response have eighteen training facilities across the UK, each conveniently located with easy access to public transport links, offering excellent connectivity with major towns and cities, making them the perfect places to provide training.
Delivering over 100 different courses to an average of 1200 students per week, First Response provides training to care, paediatric and all industry sectors, covering aspects of first aid, health and safety and professional development.
The company directly employs over 40 full-time trainers. Their excellent rapport with clients frequently leads to them being asked to return to deliver wider training within organisations, both to existing employees and new starters.
The First Response brand continues to expand and added another string to their bow back in October 2009 when they launched their suite of online courses. The E-learning solution offers a wide and evolving range of health and safety training, and is becoming an increasingly popular choice for businesses. The high quality interactive programmes are ideal for staff inductions and refresher training and provide employers with a cost-effective alternative to practical training.
Public courses continue to provide the simplest way for small businesses to ensure they meet the necessary legal requirements. Delegates can train at First Response’s own venues for as little as £49 per person and can choose from a range of different courses, including HSE accredited First Aid courses, Fire Marshal training and IOSH Working and Managing Safely training programmes. The provider currently has training venues located in sites across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh. The most recent additions include sites in Nottingham and Sheffield.
The 3-day HSE accredited First Aid at Work training course, one of the most popular on offer, provides comprehensive training together with reviews of actual events, which enables first aid to be administered to a casualty within the workplace. Each candidate’s competency will be assessed in accordance with the Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) guidelines. Places can be booked now by calling free phone 0800 310 2300.
First Response also run the HSE-accredited Emergency First Aid at Work training course. This introductory level course is suitable for most low-risk employers in meeting their legal obligations for minimum first aid provision in the workplace. It is also suitable for employers with a higher risk, who wish to provide appointed persons to support their first aiders. For both courses the HSE strongly recommends that all first aiders do an annual Basic Skills Update, which First Response also offers.
Perry Leeks, Managing Director of First Response, says: “All organisations are required to provide appropriate first aid equipment and trained personnel in the event of an employee becoming ill or injured at work. We are pleased to help organizations determine what their obligations are and help them work through their training options.
"We continue to expand and diversify and are able to offer more and more regional public training venues, which are a convenient and cost-effective way for many businesses to ensure their staff are appropriately trained.”
Please call First Response today on free phone 0800 310 2300, or use their online booking facility to reserve a space on one of their public courses.
