Are you ready for flu?

To prevent the spread of flu in child care settings First Response has introduced a course that introduces child carers to the symptoms of flu and other viruses.

Viruses including flu can spread from person to person through coughing or sneezing. People can also become infected by touching something with viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.

People with a virus can potentially infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 5 days after becoming sick. That means that you may be able to pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick.

Mike Mulcahy, Head of Curriculum at First Response said, “In response to the pandemic crisis we have introduced awareness training that focuses upon Pandemic Flu”

“The training provides delegates with an understanding of infection and principles of control, highlighting signs and symptoms, personal hygiene and incident reporting. It’s a topical subject where training to prevent will be vital and relevant to all organisations”

First Response Training provides over 20 health & safety training courses that are relevant to the early years environment. In addition, to complement practical courses, we offer up to 40 E-Learning titles. Contact First Response today on freephone 0800 310 2300 or e-mail info@firstresponsetraining.com.
