Course at Your Premises
We have a limited amount of Government (LSC) funded courses for the delivery of training to organisations based within the Midlands.
The course content covers and exceeds Skills for Care Common Induction Standards and is linked to NVQ level 2. It is a vital course for anyone involved in the moving and handling of people, providing an opportunity for skills practice including assisting to walk, stand, chair and bed work.
To be awarded the Certificate EDI Moving & Handling of People learners must complete all 4 units
Courses delivered as follows:
In order to be eligible for funding we require a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 students on the course, where the students need to be over 16 years old on enrolment, resident in the UK for at least 3 years and currently live in England.
- Legal responsibilities
- Anatomy & physiology
- Common manual handling associated injuries
- Risk assessment and reduction
- Principles of good manual/people handling techniques
- Moving & handling practical exercises
To be awarded the Certificate EDI Moving & Handling of People learners must complete all 4 units
Courses delivered as follows:
- Two or three short group sessions
- Part distance-learning
- Tutor support
- Delivered at your location
