Mental Health Awareness Level 2
The Mental Health Awareness Level 2 webinar is a three-hour training program that aims to help healthcare support workers and adult social care workers gain an understanding of mental illness and its impact on daily life. The webinar focuses on providing participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals with mental health challenges.
During the webinar, participants will learn about the different types of mental illnesses, their causes, symptoms, and the impact they can have on individuals. The webinar also covers the importance of early intervention, the role of healthcare support workers and adult social care workers in supporting individuals with mental illness, and best practices for communicating with and supporting individuals with mental health challenges.
Upon completion of the webinar, successful candidates will be issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. This certificate demonstrates their understanding of mental illness and their ability to support individuals with mental health challenges in their daily lives.

Mental Health Courses
Understanding Mental Health
Aim: To raise mental health literacy in all sectors of the community, in order to dispel the stigma and discrimination that exists through lack of understanding, and empower people to offer support.
Aim: To introduce learners to the concept of mindfulness and different mindfulness practices for relaxation and self-care.
Mental Health Awareness
Aim: To help healthcare support workers and adult social care workers gain an understanding of mental illness, the problems this can cause in daily life, and how they can support people.
Anxiety and Phobias Awareness
This training provides learners with a basic awareness and understanding of anxiety disorders and phobias, how they can be managed and treated, and how to offer support to someone dealing with anxiety or a phobia.
Aim: To provide basic knowledge of self-harm, its causes, how to recognise signs of self-harm and how to support individuals who self-harm.
Aim: To provide learners with an understanding of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), its causes and impacts and how to support people.
Bipolar Disorder Awareness
This classroom training course is delivered in person by one of our trainers. At the end of the 3-hour course, learners will have an understanding of bipolar disorder, its symptoms and characteristics and be able to support individuals living with the disorder.
Aim: To raise awareness and understanding of suicide, examine personal and societal attitudes towards suicide and understand how we may be able to offer help
This 3-hour classroom training ensures learners have knowledge and awareness of ADHD in order to gain confidence and understanding in supporting those with ADHD.
Introduction to the Autistic Spectrum
Aim: To ensure healthcare support workers and adult social care workers have the knowledge and confidence to provide support for people with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
Loss and Bereavement
Aim: To provide learners with the knowledge required to understand the issues involved in loss and bereavement.
Aim: To provide healthcare support workers and adult social care workers to understand dementia and help improve the quality of life for people living with dementia.
Mental Capacity Act Awareness
Aim: To provide healthcare support workers and adult social care workers with an overview of the Mental Capacity Act, to ensure they have the knowledge and skill to deal with situations relating to mental capacity.
Mental Health in the Workplace
Aim: To raise awareness of the importance of promoting mental health in the workplace, and empower people to offer support.
Managing Personal Stress
This course raises awareness of the effects of stress and introduces techniques that can be used to manage stress.
Knowing how to handle stress effectively and recognising it in yourself and the people around you are useful skills to have.
