To enable healthcare support workers and adult social care workers to communicate effectively and understand communication needs to help improve outcomes for individuals they support.
- Understand the importance of effective communication in care settings
- Know how to meet the communication and language needs, wishes and preferences of individuals receiving care
- Be able to promote effective communication
- Understand the principles and practices relating to confidentiality
Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate valid for 3 years.
