To raise awareness of an adults role when working with children and young people and to ensure they understand how to protect the safety of the young person as well as to be aware of sensitive situations in which they may find themselves.
- Explain safeguarding of children legislation
- Describe different types of child abuse
- Describe different signs and symptoms of abuse
- Explain employers and employees responsibilities when dealing with child abuse
Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate valid for 3 years.
