The level of teaching was outstanding and this really showed in the exam marks. The trainer’s enthusiasm for First Aid really shone through and this in turn motivated the group to learn, practise and ask as many questions as possible. […]. The instructor passed on expertise in such a way that did not alienate anyone even though it was a diverse group of people from all parts of the business. The examiners were wonderful, giving us extra tips and advice once we had passed; this gave everyone confidence in their new skills and will allow us as individuals to handle a first aid situation.

Modern Slavery Act 2015

First Response Training and Consultancy Services Limited (FRT) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and, as such, we comply with all applicable laws relating to slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking.

Although we are not subject to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we have voluntarily acceded to its conditions as an example of best practice, and as part of demonstrating our commitment to running a sustainable and ethical business. We do not engage in any practice that may be inimical with such laws.

We have taken appropriate steps to ensure that such practices as outlined above are not taking place in our own business or our supply chain, or in any organisation or person connected with either of these.

We have developed, implemented and communicated a Group Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy. This links to other existing policies, including our Whistleblowing Policy, Code of Conduct and Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.

We also conduct risk assessments in respect of human rights and modern slavery by a process of an annual evaluation of the business makeup and supply chains of each subsidiary and provide training for any staff engaged in identifying or dealing with suppliers.

We undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly review our existing suppliers. Our due diligence process includes building long-standing relationships with suppliers and making clear our expectations of business partners, and evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier within high risk activities.

It's really nice to work with someone in training who is so switched on and focussed to our needs. It's a real pleasure. I know that when I have one of those 'Oh no' moments and diary dates clash, our account manager will be there and will sort things out for us.
